This is the equipment a boy will need for lacrosse:

STICK. Attack style.

HELMET.

GLOVES.

ELBOW PADS.

SHOULDER PADS.

Cleats (soccer style or similar), mouth guard and athletic cup.

Note: Dick's Sporting Goods has pretty good prices and selection. Sometimes gloves, elbow pads and shoulder pads can be bought in a set for less than buying individually. Other equipment sources to try are LaxWorld, Premier Lacrosse, eBay, Craigs List, and several others.
